Het was liefde op het eerste gezicht. Soms heb je dat wel eens, dan denk je, die blouse schreeuwt mijn naam. Wit, met gouden studs op de kraag. Hoewel ik de blouse een beetje overpriced vond, kon ik het toch niet laten. Deze moest mee. Die mooie tijden die we samen gingen beleven kon je toch ook niet waarderen in geld. Ik zag al iets wat leek op een kleine ladder in de stof. Omdat er geen andere blouse in mijn maat hing, kneep ik stiekem een oogje dicht.

Het was 1 hele mooie dag. Langer mocht het helaas niet duren. Toen ik op een gegeven moment mijn haar opnieuw deed, hoorde ik iets. Ik durfde bijna niet te kijken, maar ja hoor. Gescheurd op de naad. Niet bij een mouw, nee hoor, gelijk twee. Ik heb de blouse de hele avond nog gedragen. Konden we tenminste nog een paar uur van elkaar genieten.

I'm such a sucker for black & white. Ik kan er niks aan doen. Zwart/wit foto's, zwart/witte lijsten...maar met deze grafische prints van Therese Sennerholt maak je me helemaal crazy. De combinatie van typografie, diepzinnige one-liners en zwart/wit is zo simpel, maar zo cool.

Quit my job, got a new job! I'm back in the hairdressers scene, no I'm not a hairstylist. Although, a long long time ago, for a short time, I was one.. On some days I can only wear black. I can combine it with a hint of grey and white...but that's all. Think this outfit would be perfect...

It's all in the past...

One year and one day ago I started this blog. I was so unhappy, especially with my work, that I needed a change. I became interested in blogs a couple months before and decided to make one of my own. I had no camera (still don't) and no clue what it really was going to be about (also, still no idea). I always was a creative person, but my work had been sucking every life out of me. I wanted to go after my dreamjob, working in fashion and having a blog was the way to do it. NOT! I had a hard job trying to find a new job so I decided to create one for myself. I got myself a business partner and we were full of ideas. Webshop, clothingstore, social media...and then again I got stuck. Couldn't think anymore, I was totally blank. One day, I decided just to quit my job and see. And now, I started my new job yesterday, happy to leave my old one behind, ready for new ideas, ready for 2012! Curious about my new job?? I will tell you in another post, it's time for me to hit the sack now...and tomorrow....

Just another yard sale

Last week I had to get some stuff in the city.. I needed to be in a street where normally aren't shops with clothes and then I ran into a really nice shop! It's a mix of vintage and new and it looks just really cool. Actually it's a pop up store for the webshop www.justanotheryardsale.com. They sell clothes of brands like Motel Rocks, Aaiko, Silvian Heach, Kiboots, Pepe Jeans bags, Club Manhattan, Edwin Jeans  & many more. The street where the shop is, has a bad name, they are trying to give this area a boost with projects like this one. In The Hague aren't a lot of cool shops so I think this is a really good initiative! I couldn't resist their sale so I bought the sequin sweater that I wore in my previous post for only ten euros!
